Stepping off the bus,
I turn the wrong way,
on purpose.
So compelled,
unable to focus on tasks,
my purpose changes.
She looms above the roundabout,
manifesting hope and humanity
as cars, buses, and people scurry.
Tucked between capitalism
and institutionalized god,
she nourishes new life.
Like the madonna
she ponders another way[1]See Luke 2:19,
amid hate, greed, and despair.
