The spiders of mystery beguile me,
throwing their sticky nets across my path.
I frantically brush away the strands of confusion,
flailing around in a silly dance underneath the shrouding green canopy.
As the sun peers through pine needles,
the arachnets sparkle into my sight.
Leaning in to inspect the long-legged one’s handiwork,
she scampers away.
Up.
Around.
Down.
And over,
I trudge along the unknown path.
I wander alone,
except for my arach-mysterious friends.
